2. The present Writ Petition has been filed for the following reliefs:- "To issue a Writ in the nature of Mandamus commanding the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for payment of electrical dues

Patna High Court CWJC No.3457 of 2024(7) dt.14-05-2024 2/3 in installments and consequent upon acceptance of first installment to be paid by the petitioner, issuance of direction to the respondents for immediate restoration of the electric connection in petitioner's premise and install the electrical meter."

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has stated that the petitioner is ready to pay the outstanding dues provided the amounts which were already paid are deducted from the outstanding dues. That the petitioner is willing to make an application for fresh connection along with the requisite fees. Further, it is prayed that the petitioner may be provided sufficient time for making the payments in installments.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Respondent-Distribution Company has stated that in case, the petitioner makes a suitable application, the authorities will provide the details of the amount due and also consider the request of the petitioner for paying the outstanding due amounts in instalments.

5. Having regard to the above, without going into the merits or demerits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of granting liberty to the petitioner to make a suitable representation ventilating his grievance to the authority within a

Patna High Court CWJC No.3457 of 2024(7) dt.14-05-2024 3/3 period of four weeks from today. On such representation being made, the authority shall consider the same and pass necessary orders for granting instalments for the payment of the outstanding amount and also for giving a new connection within a period of four weeks thereof.

6. With the above directions, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
