This is an application for bail in connection with Case No. NCB/PZU/V/06/16 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 20C and 299 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act.

It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that nothing has been recovered from the conscious possession of the petitioner and seizure list was prepared at the Police Station and the petitioner has nothing to do with the vehicle from which recovery of ganja has been made and petitioner is in custody since 10.8.2016.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.7163 of 2017 (4) dt.20-03-2017 2/2 Heard learned APP as well as learned Central Government counsel, who has opposed the prayer for bail stating that confessional statement of the petitioner and other accused under Section 67 of the NDPS Act clearly shows involvement of the petitioner in the offence alleged and huge quantity of ganja has been recovered from the vehicle.

Having heard both sides and considering the nature of offence, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Prayer for bail is rejected.
