1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1.(i) For issuance of appropriate writ in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the Respondent Authority to produce the final cut off list of Home Guard selection against the Advertisement No. 01/2009 published under the signature of the Respondent authority further

Patna High Court CWJC No.5015 of 2024(2) dt.18-04-2024 2/2 informing that the cut off marks upon which selection has been made Block wise.

(ii) For further direction to the Respondent authority to issue appointment letter to the petitioners for the post of Home Guard against the Advertisement No. 01/2009 wherein the petitioners have applied, appeared in the test and has been indicated to be obtained highest marks i.e. 15 marks but despite of final selection the appointment letter has not been issued to the petitioners.

(iii) For further direction to the Respondent authority to hold an inquiry with regard to the illegality made in the final selection of Home Guard in the district of Nawada and after holding inquiry take appropriate decision against the Respondent concerned."

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioners seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioners to approach the respondentauthorities for redressal of their aforesaid grievances. Liberty so sought is granted.
