The petitioners are apprehending arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 406, 420, 467, 468, 471 of the Indian Penal Code and 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.
Prosecution case is that informant's daughter marriage was fixed with son of the petitioners namely Avinash Singh when rupees four lakhs was given to the accused persons and rupees eight lakhs was agreed to be paid at the time of marriage. Subsequently, further demand of rupees four lakhs was made by the accused persons and ultimately the marriage could not be performed.

No.8937 of 2016 (2) dt.25-02-2016 2/2 It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioners that there is no proof with regard to the payment made to the petitioners and it was the informant who initially negotiated for marriage but ultimately the marriage could not be settled between the parties. Petitioners are parents of prospective bride-groom. Considering that there is nothing on record to suggest payment of part amount to the petitioners, let the above named petitioners be released on anticipatory bail, in the event of arrest or surrender before the learned Court below within a period of 12 weeks from today, on furnishing bail bond of `10,000/- (ten thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned ACJM, Ara in connection with Piro P.S. Case No.391/2015, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.
