The petitioner has renewed his prayer for bail in connection with a case registered under section 307 and other sections of the Indian Penal Code and section 3 of the SC & ST Act.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the appellant that the earlier prayer for bail of the appellant was rejected vide order dated 21.12.2020 (Annexure-1) giving liberty to the appellant to renew his prayer for bail after completing one year in custody. The appellant is in custody since 2.2.2020 and has no criminal antecedent.

APP (SJ) No.1766 of 2021(2) dt.08-09-2021 2/2 Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, the liberty granted to the appellant while rejecting the prayer for bail on earlier occasion together with the appellant having remained in custody for 1 year 7 months, the Court directs the petitioner to be enlarged on bail in connection with Thakraha P.S. Case no.12 of 2020 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned 1st Additional District and Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge (SC & ST Act, POCSO Act), Bettiah, West Champaran.
