This application for regular bail arises out of Matihani, P.S. Case No. 1 of 2020, disclosing offences punishable under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

It is alleged that from a Hyundai Verna Car, bearing registration no. JH01W-0110, the police recovered 79.185 of foreign liquors. The petitioner was arrested on the spot was found sitting in the car.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that he had as a matter of fact, taken lift from the driver to travel in the car and he has no connection with the illicit liquor.

Be that as it may, considering the quantity of foreign

This application is rejected.
