Though the present writ petition has been filed for quashing the order contained in memo dated 10.05.2021, issued by the Deputy Collector (Stamp), Munger, whereby and whereunder the Stamp Vendor License of the petitioner, bearing License No.7/1986-87 has not been renewed, on the ground that he has approached the authorities after a great delay on 23.12.2020, although his license had expired several years back, nonetheless, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that since the petitioner has stood acquitted of the criminal case filed against him for dealing in forged stamps, by a judgment dated 12.08.2011, passed by the Ld. Court of Judicial Magistrate-1st

Patna High Court CWJC No.3654 of 2022(4) dt.22-10-2024 2/2 Class, Munger, in Sessions Trial No.1351 of 2011 (arising out of Kotwali P.S. Case No.442 of 1994), the petitioner is entitled to be granted stamp vendor license, inasmuch as there is now no blot on his career, hence he be granted liberty to approach the respondent-authorities for grant of fresh stamp vendor license. Liberty so sought is granted.

2. The writ petition stands disposed off.
