Impugned in this writ application is order passed by the State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Bihar, Patna, in First Appeal No. 60 of 2000 (Annexure-1) and in First Appeal No. 61 of 2000 (Annexure-2).
Learned counsel for the petitioner states that being consumer, he is entitled to payment of compound interest on the maturity amount for certain period during which the payment was not made.
On going through the orders impugned, it appears that the Peerless General Finance and Investment Co. Ltd. went in appeals against the orders passed by the District Consumer
Patna High Court CWJC No.11319 of 2013 (2) dt.18-02-2016 2/2 Disputes Redressal Forum (for short "the District Forum"). The District Forum did not grant the said relief to the petitioner. No appeal thereagainst was filed by the petitioner. In these circumstances, I am afraid that any such application seeking the aforesaid relief can be entertained and granted.
The petition is dismissed.
