This application for regular bail arises out of Ladaniya P.S. Case No. 10 of 2020, disclosing offences punishable under Sections 272, 273/34, 414 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

Allegedly, from the petitioner's possession, 93 litres of illicit liquor was recovered, which he was bringing from Nepal.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner has remained in custody for about two months and, therefore, a lenient view may be taken

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.10362 of 2020(3) dt.19-03-2020 2/2 while considering this application for regular bail. Considering the huge quantity of liquor alleged to have been recovered from the petitioner's possession, I am not inclined to allow him privilege of regular bail at this stage. This application is, accordingly, dismissed.

The petitioner shall, however, be at liberty to renew his prayer for bail after six months if there is no progress noticed in the trial arising out of the Ladaniya P.S. Case No. 10 of 2020.
