The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Saharsa Sadar P.S. Case No.66 of 2017, registered under Sections 420, 406, 467,468 and 120(B) of the Indian Penal Code. The accusation is that informant Alok Kumar Srivastava and other villagers used to deposit Rs. 500/- per month in Samrudha Jevan Multi State Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd. situated at Gandhi Path, Saharsa. On maturity of the deposited amount, the informant and other villagers asked to return the money then the office was shifted from Gandhi path to Gangajal at Saharsa. On 28.01.2017, the informant came to know that petitioner being the cashier of the

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.20080 of 2017 (2) dt.11-05-2017 2/2 said company cheated him and other villagers and also closed the branch of the company.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner was simply an Accountant in Samrudha Jevan Multi State Multipurpose Co-operative Society Ltd. Due to some irregularities reported against the society, a Liquidator was appointed on 18.04.2016 for the winding up of the Society, but the said order is stayed by the Delhi High Court on 18.05.2016. Further submission is that petitioner has no criminal antecedent is in custody since 30.01.2017.

Having regard to the facts and the circumstances of the case, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Saharsa in connection with Saharsa Sadar P.S.
