JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR SINHA ORAL ORDER 09-05-2023 Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has passed the Matriculation Examination from Bihar School Examination Board [for short "the Board"] in the year 2004. By mistake date of birth mentioned in the Matriculation Certificate inasmuch as instead of 11.05.1988 her date of birth is mentioned as 23/03/1989. Dispute is for correction of date of birth in the Matriculation Certificate.

Learned senior counsel appearing for the Board submits that there is a procedure for correction of date of birth for which the petitioner has to file application along with

Patna High Court CWJC No.7099 of 2019(7) dt.09-05-2023 2/2 requisite fee and if request is made by the petitioner, the Board shall consider the same in accordance with law. Learned counsel for the petitioner in view of the aforesaid submission submits that necessary application along with requisite fee shall be filed by the petitioner within fifteen days before the Board.

Accordingly, this writ application is disposed with permission to the petitioner to file necessary application for correction of her date of birth and if the same is filed, the Board shall be obliged to consider the same and decide the application / request made by the petitioner for correction of date of birth in accordance with law.
