This is a petition for grant of regular bail for offence under Sections 17 and 18 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.

The petitioner was driver of the motorcycle on which co-accused, Anil Kumar Dangi, was also sitting along with a bag containing about three kilogram of liquid substance suspected to be extract of opium.

Submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that Anil Kumar Dangi has already been granted regular in Cr. Misc. No. 14354 of 2017 on 15.05.2017 because no forensic report was available to establish that the recovered article was really opium. More over, Anil Kumar Dangi was in custody since about one year. The petitioner is also in custody since the same period.

Considering the aforesaid fact, let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like
