2. The petitioner has prayed for regular bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under sections 80 and 3(5) of BNS.
3. The case of the prosecution is that one Aanchal KUmari (deceased) was married to one Rajesh Kumar on 04.03.2024 and at the time of marriage, sufficient gifts were given to her. It is alleged that she was subjected to cruelty on account of non-fulfillment of dowry demand of Rs. 4 lacs and a bullet bike by her in-laws. It is further alleged that she was killed by all the in-laws by hanging.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.13677 of 2026(2) dt.12-03-2026 2/2 petitioner is innocent and has committed no offence. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is the mother-in-law of the deceased. The main thrust of allegation is against the husband of the deceased and the nature of allegation against this petitioner is general and omnibus. A statement has been made in para-3 of this petition that the petitioner has got no criminal antecedent. Moreover, she is languishing in judicial custody since 12.07.2025.
5. Learned APP appearing for the State and learned counsel for the informant have vehemently opposed the prayer of regular bail.
6. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this court is inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. The above named petitioner is directed to be released on bail in connection with Harinmar P.S. Case No. 25 of 2025 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional Sessions Judge-IV, Munger.
