The petitioner seeks bail in Excise Case No. 96 of 2017 registered under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

The police raided the house of Shiv Kumar Paswan and 65 litres of country made liquor made of Mahua and 2000 Kg of Jawa Mahua was recovered by the side of the house of Shiv Kumar Paswan.

Leanred counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the wife of Shiv Kumar Paswan. Shiv Kumar Paswan was not available in the house and the petitioner was arrested. The petitioner being a lady is in jail since 08.03.2017.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.22250 of 2017 (2) dt.17-05-2017 2/2 Considering the facts aforesaid and the fact that the petitioner being a lady is in jail since 08.03.2017, the above named petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 5,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Sasaram, Rohtas in connection with Excise Case No. 96 of 2017.
