1. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was suspended on 01.10.2021 and thereafter, a departmental proceeding has been initiated vide order dated 09.02.2023, issued by the Superintendent, District Jail, Hajipur at Vaishali, however, the same is still pending and is not being concluded, thus a direction be issued upon the disciplinary authority to complete the same, expeditiously.

2. The learned counsel for the respondents submits that in case the aforesaid departmental proceeding in question qua the petitioner is still pending, the same would definitely be disposed off, within a stipulated time frame, as fixed by this Court.

3. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the

Patna High Court CWJC No.3545 of 2024(2) dt.14-03-2024 2/2 case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the disciplinary authority to conclude the aforesaid pending departmental proceeding qua the petitioner herein by taking a final decision, within a period of six months from today, failing which the same shall stand abated.

4. The present writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
