The grievance of the petitioner is that though application for grant of firearm licence was filed on 09.08.2011 and, thereafter, on two occasions, the petitioner has been called for interview i.e., on 14.12.2013 and 07.02.2015 but no decision regarding issuance of arms licence has been taken as yet by the Licensing Authority, who happens to be the District Magistrate, Munger.

Having regards to the facts and circumstances of

Patna High Court CWJC No.4231 of 2016 (2) dt.28-03-2016 2 / 2 the case, this writ application is being disposed of with a direction to the respondent no.2, the District Magistrate - cum - licensing authority, Munger to take a final decision in the matter on its own merit and in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of receipt / production of a copy of this order, if such decision has already not been taken.
