Petitioner seeks bail in Special Case No.53 of 2016 arising out of Vigilance P.S. Case No.117 of 2016 instituted under Section(s) 7, 13(2) read with Section 13(1) (d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, pending in the Court of the Special Judge, Vigilance, Trap Case, Patna.

Prayer of the petitioner for grant of bail was earlier rejected by this Court by order dated 22.02.2017 passed in Cr. Misc. No.3756 of 2017.

The petitioner was appointed as Investigating Officer of Sahebganj P.S. Case No.229 of 2016 and he made demand of rupees five thousand from the informant for proper investigation and making the case true and submitting final form. The informant

No.21773 of 2017 (2) dt.10-05-2017 2/2 informed the vigilance and Trap Team was constituted and thereafter the petitioner was caught red handed with bribe of two thousand rupees. Post trap memorandum was prepared before the independent witnesses and the tainted money tallied with the pre trap memorandum.

This Court does not find any fresh ground to reconsider the prayer of petitioner at this stage. Prayer for bail is once again rejected.
