The petitioner seeks bail in Matihani P.S. Case No. 16/2017, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 385, 379 and other sections of the Indian Penal Code and section 27 of the Arms Act.

The informant alleged that while he was returning from his field, the petitioner and others intercepted him and demanded extortion of Rs. 1,00,000/-. On refusal, the accused persons assaulted the informant and snatched Rs. 1,000/-, wrist watch from the possession of the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the informant did not receive any injury from fire-arm. On account of land dispute this false case has been lodged. The petitioner is in

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.21344 of 2017 (2) dt.10-05-2017 jail since 26.03.2017.

Considering the facts aforesaid, the petitioner abovenamed, is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Begusarai in connection with Matihani P.S. Case No. 16/2017.
