The petitioner seeks bail in Maranchi P.S. Case No. 98 of 2014 registered under Sections 498A and 406 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. The wife of the petitioner filed a complaint case on the basis of which the present F.I.R. was registered. She made allegation of demand of dowry and torture against the petitioner and other family members.

Leanred counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is ready to keep his wife and he is in jail since 09.10.2016.

Considering the facts aforesaid, nature of allegation

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.21135 of 2017 (2) dt.10-05-2017 2/2 made against the petitioner and the fact that the petitioner is in jail since 09.10.2016 and he has remained in jail for more than seven months, the above named petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Barh, Patna in connection with Maranchi P.S. Case No. 98 of 2014.
