The present petition has been preferred for the following reliefs:- (i) for issuance of appropriate order/s, direction/s including a writ preferably in the nature of MANDAMUS directing the Respondent No.-2 to decide L.A. Case No.- 16/2022-23 expeditiously within stipulated period of time preferably within one month from passing of the order by this Hon'ble Court. Whereas the said Land Acquistion (L.A.) case pertains to objection raised by the Respondent No.-5 who had disputed title of the
Patna High Court CWJC No.3791 of 2024(2) dt.24-06-2024 2/3 petitioner over the land situated at Mauza- Devra, Thana No. 201, Khata No. 131, Khesra No. 1138, Rakwa- 0.055 acres of Land which has been acquired for the construction of bridge and access road on Punpun River;
(ii) for issuance of a writ, order or direction in the nature of MANDAMUS commanding the respondent no.-2, after disposal of L.A. Case No.- 16/2022-23, to pay the compensation of the land so acquired as per provision of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 along with the interest from the date of notification ill date of taking possession at the prevalent market within the period so stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.
3. The petitioner has come this Court with limited prayer to direct the respondent no. 2, the District Land Acquisition Officer, Patna to dispose of the Land Acquisition Case No. 16 of 2022-23 (Karu Prasad vs. Tejan Singh).
4. Learned State Counsel has no objection and submits that in such cases, the matter should be taken to its logical conclusion at an earliest.

In that view of the matter, the writ petition stands disposed of directing the respondent no. 2, the District Land Acquisition Officer, Patna to dispose of the Land Acquisition Case No. 16 of 2022-23, if still not disposed of within a period of four months after hearing all the necessary parties.
