The petitioner seeks bail in Chousa P.S. Case No. 234/2016, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 399, 402 of the Indian Penal Code and section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition & Excise Act, 2016.

The police got information that some miscreants had assembled at the house of Sant Lal Singh. Raid was conducted; Sant Lal Singh was apprehended, but other accused persons managed to flee away. From possession of Sant Lal Singh country made pistol with cartridges were recovered and from the house of Sant Lal Singh some liquor was recovered. Sant Lal Singh disclosed the name of the petitioner as one of the accused persons who managed to flee away. The petitioner is in jail since

Considering the facts aforesaid and nature of allegation made against the petitioner and the fact that petitioner is in jail for more than two and half months, the petitioner above-named, is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Udakishunganj, Madhepura in connection with Chousa P.S. Case No. 234/2016.
