Petitioner, already in custody, seeks bail in Govindganj (Malahi) PS Case No. 169 of 2013, registered under Sections 307/34 IPC and Sections 3⁄4 of the Explosive Substances Act. The allegation in brief is that the petitioner made demand of extortion from the informant and when that was not realised then came along with some unknown persons and bomb was thrown at the house of the informant.

Submission is that there is no specific allegation of throwing bomb against the petitioner, he has been falsely implicated in this case.

Whereas, learned Counsel for the State submits that the petitioner has large number of criminal antecedents of serious nature i.e. extortion, several cases of NDPS Act and he had earlier asked for ransom and thereafter this incident was committed. Having considered the said facts and circumstances and large number of criminal antecedents the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.
