This application for regular bail arises out of Sakatpur P.S. Case No. 6 of 2020, disclosing offences punishable under Sections 30(a), 32(iii) and 41 (i) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

From the truck, which the petitioner was driving, 1104.12 liters of foreign liquor was recovered by the police. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that he has been implicated only on the basis of him being the driver of the vehicle. According to him, there is no chance of tampering with the evidence, if he is allowed regular bail.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.10592 of 2020(2) dt.02-03-2020 2/2 Considering the huge quantity of illicit liquor allegedly recovered from the truck, which was being driven by the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant him regular bail. This application is accordingly rejected.
