The petitioner wants re-classification of the territorial constituencies after inclusion of persons belonging to 'Tanti caste' who now comes under the scheduled caste category by virtue of the decision taken by the State.

That the present Panchayat Election 2016 is to be held on the basis of census 2011, it is too late in the day to issue any direction to the Election Authorities for consideration of the grievance raised by the petitioner, more so after the issuance of notification under section 124 of the Bihar Panchayat Raj Act, 2006.

The writ petition is disposed of.
