Petitioner has renewed his prayer for bail in connection with Jakkanpur PS Case No. 35/2017 corresponding to Special (POCSO) Case No. 22/2017 registered for the offence punishable under Section 376 IPC and Section 4 of the POCSO Act, which was earlier rejected on four occasions consecutively vide orders dated 20.11.2017, 10.10.2018, 18.08.2020 and 06.10.2021 respectively on merit.

Lastly, when the matter was taken up on the basis of report submitted by the learned trial court, this case was adjourned for two months awaiting the disposal of the trial. Learned counsel for the petitioner informs that the examination of prosecution witnesses have now been completed

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.12908 of 2022(5) dt.14-09-2022 2/2 and the trial is pending for examination of defence witness. In view of the fact that the trial is on the verge of conclusion, I am not inclined to grant regular bail to the petitioner taking into consideration the serious charge against him.
