JUSTICE RAVI RANJAN ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 26-03-2015 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the State. Petitioner seeks direction to the respondents to release a sum of Rs. 86,192/- which is outstanding against the respondents for the work done by the petitioner in the year 2012 itself in terms of the agreement which has been brought on record as Annexure 1. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he has completed the work to the satisfaction of all concerned but agreed amount of Rs. 86,192/- has not been paid by the Executive Engineer, Building Construction Division, Patna West, Danapur Patna.
Patna High Court CWJC No.5935 of 2014 dt.26-03-2015 2/2 Learned counsel for the State submits on instruction that petitioner's due amount would be paid within two weeks from today. Let it be done.
However, if the State authorities will fail to pay the admitted due amount of the petitioner within two weeks then the petitioner would be entitled for simple interest @ 10 % per annum which would be calculated from the date it became due till the date of its final payment.
