I am not satisfied with the submission that no offence is made out under section 7 of the Essential Commodities Act on the basis of the contents in the First Information Report. This application seeking quashing of the First Information Report has no merit and is accordingly dismissed. It goes without saying that petitioner shall have the liberty to raise such plea, as has been taken in the present application at appropriate stage after taking of cognizance or framing of charge or any subsequent stage as may be permissible under the law.
