The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Udwantnagar (Gajrajgnj) P.S. Case No. 202 of 2016 dated 09.05.2016 instituted for the offences under Section 395 of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is not named in the F.I.R. and the name of the petitioner figured in the case on the basis of confessional statement of co-accused Nityanand Singh and Raju Ali, further the petitioner is in custody since 28.09.2020 and charge-sheet has been submitted in this case.

Learned A.P.P. for the State vehemently opposes the prayer for regular bail of the petitioner.
