Petitioner seeks quashing of the order dated 11.06.2016 passed by the District Magistrate, Begusarai, as contained in Annexure-10 by which he has refused to extend the area of firearm licence from Samastipur to entire State of Bihar. In my view, the order of the Licensing Authority is misconceived and de hors the provision of law. Accordingly, this application stands allowed. The order of the licensing authority dated 11.06.2016 passed by the District Magistrate, Begusarai, as contained in Annexure-10 is quashed and set aside. The matter is remitted back to the licensing authority for taking a fresh decision in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
