Petitioner is in custody since 27.03.2017 in connection with Udakishunganj P.S. Case No. 22 of 2017 registered under Sections 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition Excise Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner, who is of clean antecedent, is innocent and has not committed any offence. In fact, the petitioner has falsely been made accused in this case for the alleged recovery of only 1.5 litres of Mahua liquor and for that the petitioner has sufficiently been punished as he is in custody for the last one and half months.
