Verma, learned Additional Advocate General No.3 who represents the State through video conferencing in view of COVID-19.

The petitioner through this Criminal Writ Petition has sought quashing of the First Information Report bearing Patahi P.S. Case No.09/2021 registered under Section 302/34 of the Indian Penal Code presently pending before the learned court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, VIIIth, East Champaran. From perusal of the FIR, it transpires that the

Patna High Court CR. WJC No.298 of 2022(2) dt.29-04-2022 2/2 petitioner is the named accused and specific allegations have been made against him with regard to the killing of the informant's uncle, Krishna Murari Singh.

The police is investigating the matter and this Court does not want to put spoke in the wheels midway. The application is premature, without any merit and is fit to be dismissed.

It goes without saying that the police will investigate the matter properly and take the same to its logical conclusion at an earliest.

The criminal writ application is dismissed.
