The petitioner is in judicial custody in connection with Mansi P.S. Case No. 142 of 2021 registered under Sections 307, 353, 352, 333/34 of the Indian Penal Code and section 25(1-B), 26, 27 and 35 of the Arms Act.

The police official is the informant in this case and according to him when he along with police party upon secret information that the petitioner herein along with other accused persons were planning to commit some major crime, raided the place but faced indiscriminate firing. However, police was able to nab this petitioner and as per the allegation, a semi-automatic regular rifle loaded with 5 live cartridges as also 24 live cartridges were recovered from his conscious possession.

The kind of allegation that has been levelled against the petitioner herein; where the authority of the State is being challenged, it would not be proper for this Court to grant any relief to him.
