1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1.I. Issuance of directions, orders or writs in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to forthwith register and renew the arms license of the Petitioner bearing Arms License No. 7237/NL/DMR Dimapur District Nagaland which has been applied before the District Arms Magistrate, Kaimur Bhabhua whereby and whereunder the office of the District Magistrate, Kaimur Bhabhua (Arms Section) vide Letter No. XII-109-18/171/Arms dated 09.02.2019 had sought for the verification from the District Arms Magistrate, Dimapur, Nagaland and the entire query had been duly responded by the Office of the Commissioner of Police Dimapur,

Patna High Court CWJC No.3210 of 2023(2) dt.03-10-2023 2/3 Nagaland vide Letter No. 343 dated 12.07.2019 issued by the Assistant Commissioner of Police (SB) and no objection for registration/renewal of the aforementioned Arms License had been duly issued in the name of the petitioner and the same can now easily be registered and renewed in accordance with law by the District Arms Magistrate, Kaimur Bhabhua.

II. Issuance of directions, orders or writs in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to forthwith to take a decision in regard to registration and renewal of the arms license bearing License No. 7237/NL/DMR Dimapur District Nagaland standing in the name of the petitioner since for the last approximately 4 years, the case of the petitioner has been kept stalled by the authorities in an utmost arbitrary and illegal manner without any cogent reason."

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner merely seeks a direction upon the District Arms Magistrate/District Magistrate, Kaimur at Bhabhua to dispose off the pending application of the petitioner for registration/ renewal of the arms license in the state of Bihar.

3. Having regard to the limited prayer made by the petitioner in the present writ petition, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Arms Magistrate/District Magistrate, Kaimur at Bhabhua to dispose off the pending application of the

Patna High Court CWJC No.3210 of 2023(2) dt.03-10-2023 3/3 petitioner, if any, as aforesaid, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

4. The present writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
