The petitioner seeks bail in Muffasil P.S. Case No.388 of 2019, registered under Sections 30(a)(d) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act.

The informant intercepted a Scorpio vehicle bearing Registration No.BR-01 PJ-4102 on NH-31. The driver of the vehicle was apprehended and two persons managed to flee away. The driver disclosed his name as Karu Manjhi and he also disclosed the names of other two persons, namely, Shanker Kumar @ Shanker Mahto and Banti Kumar who managed to fee away. 197 litres of foreign liquor was recovered. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner runs a commercial vehicle and he had no knowledge about the article kept in the vehicle by the passengers. The

Taking into consideration the facts that the petitioner has got no criminal antecedent and he has remained in jail for fore than two months, petitioner, namely, Karu Manjhi is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional District & Sessions Judge, 2nd, cum Special Judge, Nawada in connection with Muffasil P.S. Case No.388 of 2019.
