2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under Sections 341, 323, 504, 354B, 511, 506, 379 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code.

3. As per prosecution case, informant is a female constable and in the year 2021 she was deployed at CCTNS, Aurangabad, where this petitioner was also deputed as Thana Manager. It is alleged that fraudulently this petitioner got all the data from the mobile of the informant and started blackmailing her. It is also alleged that this petitioner tried to molest the informant. It is further alleged that thereafter, upon complaint, this petitioner was transferred to another police station but he kept on sending vulgar messages to the informant and also threatened her to kill, assaulted her and also took Rs. 1,50,000/-

It is submitted by learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner that as per F.I.R., the occurrence is alleged to be of 2021 but the F.I.R. has been lodged after delay of two years and nine months, without any explanation for the same. He next submits that only with a view to blackmail and extort money from the petitioner, this false and concocted case has been lodged. It is further submitted that both petitioner and informant are police personnel and as per F.I.R. they came in contact with each other in 2021, as both were working in the same police station. Petitioner claims clean antecedents.

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for grant of anticipatory bail.

6. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances, delay in lodging of the F.I.R. and clean antecedents of the petitioner, the prayer for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner is allowed.

7. Accordingly, in the event of arrest/surrender within a period of six weeks from today, let the above named petitioner be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail-bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Sub-Judge-IX-cum-Additional Chief
