The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Sanhaulla P.S. Case No. 14 of 2022 instituted for the offences under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Excise Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since 09.02.2022 and is a person with clean antecedent.

Allegation is of recovery of 188.595 litres of liquor from a Maruti car.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is neither the owner nor the driver of the said Maruti car rather he was a passenger and came to be implicated when search was being made.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.12925 of 2022(2) dt.22-03-2022 2/2 Learned A.P.P. for the State opposes the prayer for bail of the petitioner.

Considering the fact that the petitioner is in custody and is a person with clean antecedent, let the petitioner above named be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 2,000/- (Rupees Two Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge Exclusive, Excise Court No.2, Bhagalpur in connection with Sanhaulla P.S. Case No. 14 of 2022.
