The instant application has been filed praying for modification of the order dated 12.6.2020 passed in Cr. Misc. no.18480 of 2020 whereby while granting anticipatory bail to the petitioner in connection with Baikunthpur P.S. Case no.313 of 2019, the petitioner was directed to surrender in the learned court below within 8 weeks.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that for the reasons beyond control of the petitioner, he could not surrender within the aforesaid time. Further, as per the direction by this Court, a sum of Rs.5,000/ has been deposited with the Patna High Court Legal Services Committee on

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.21157 of 2021(4) dt.04-08-2021 2/2 26.4.2021 and a copy of the receipt thereof has been brought on record in the supplementary affidavit.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, the order dated 12.6.2020 passed in Cr. Misc. no.18480 of 2020 granting bail to the petitioner is modified to the extent that the time granted to the petitioner to surrender in the learned court below is extended by a further period of 4 weeks from today, remaining part of the order remains unchanged. The order dated 12.6.2020 stands modified to the above extent. The modification application stands allowed.
