2. The petitioner is apprehending arrest in connection with Mairwa P.S. Case No. 184 of 2024 registered on 14.06.2024 for the offences punishable under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise (Amendment) Act, 2022.

3. According to the prosecution, the present case involves the recovery of 54 liters of country-made liquor, which was found loaded on a motorcycle.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has committed no offence. The petitioner has a clean antecedent. The petitioner's name appears in this case solely because she is the registered owner of the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.13291 of 2025(2) dt.28-03-2025 2/2 motorcycle on which the alleged illicit liquor was found. The petitioner is a housewife, and the motorcycle was purchased in her name. She was completely unaware of the vehicle's use, as another person took the motorcycle and allegedly committed the offence, of which the petitioner had no knowledge.

5. Learned APP for the State opposes the prayer for bail of the petitioner.

In the facts and circumstances, let the above named petitioner be released on bail, in the event of arrest or surrender before the Trial Court within a period of four weeks from today, on furnishing bail bond of ₹30000/- (thirty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Exclusive Special Excise Court No.1, Siwan, in connection with Mairwa P.S. Case No. 184 of 2024 , subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Cr.P.C. (Dr. Anshuman, J) Ashwini/- U T
