The petitioner seeks bail in Gaighat P.S. Case No.61 of 2016, registered under Section 392 of the Indian Penal Code. Nazir of Gaighat Block alleged that while he was returning to Block after withdrawing Rs.20,00,000/- from Punjab National Bank, three miscreants came on a motorcycle and snatched the bag on the point of revolver. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is not named in the FIR. Name of the petitioner figured in the case in the confessional statement of Ashish Kumar @ Bittu. Ashish Kumar @ Bittu has been granted bail by order dated 21.06.2019, passed in B.P. No.843/2019 by the learned Sessions Judge-XII, Muzaffarpur. The case of the petitioner stands on better footing. Considering the facts that the person, in whose confessional statement the name of the petitioner figured, has already been granted bail and the petitioner is in jail since 25.11.2019 but he has not been put on TIP, petitioner, namely, Mritunjay Chaudhary is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Sub-Judge-16-cum-A.C.J.M.-15, Muzaffarpur in connection with Gaighat P.S. Case No.61 of 2016.
