JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 13-05-2024 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "1. That this writ application is for issuance of a direction to the Respondents to grant the Arms License to the Petitioner for which he applied on 15.1.2021 which is still pending with the Respondents in which all the formalities have been completed."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks a direction upon the District Magistrate, West Champaran, Bettiah to dispose off the application, filed by

Patna High Court CWJC No.3804 of 2024(2) dt.13-05-2024 2/2 the petitioner, for grant of arms licence on 15.01.2021. 3.

The learned counsel for the respondent-State submits that in case the aforesaid application is still pending consideration, the same shall definitely be disposed off, within a stipulated time frame, as is directed by this Court. 4.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Arms Magistrate, West Champaran, Bettiah to dispose off the aforesaid application, filed by the petitioner, for grant of arms licence, in case the same is still pending, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order. 5.

The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
