2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Nardiganj P.S. Case No.327 of 2023 lodged under Section 304B of the IPC pending before the court of Addl. Sessions Judge-I, Nawada.
3. Learned senior counsel for the petitioner submits that the bail application of the petitioner has earlier been rejected vide order dated 18.04.2024 passed in Cr. Misc. No.12324 of 2024 with liberty to the petitioner to renew his prayer for bail if trial is not concluded within 9 months and direction was given to the trial court to conclude the trial within
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.14842 of 2025(5) dt.01-08-2025 2/2 9 months.
4. Learned senior counsel further submits that the petitioner is an innocent husband and he is in custody since 23.09.2023 having no criminal antecedent. He further submits that even after lapse of 9 months, not a single witness has been examined and petitioner has been kept unncessarily in custody.
5. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail and progress of the trial has been called for.

From the progress report, it transpires to this Court that the case came to the functional court on March, 2025, charge has been framed in the month of May, 2025 and summon has been issued for examination of witnesses as there are 6 charge-sheet witnesses and trial court is expected to conclude the trial within 12-14 months.
7. In the present facts and circumstances of this case and the submissions made above, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. Therefore, the bail application of the petitioner is hereby rejected. (Dr. Anshuman, J.) Prakashmani/- U T
