2. The petitioner apprehends arrest in connection with Complaint Case No. 2033 of 2024 in which cognizance has been taken under Section 85 and 351(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and Section 3 and 4 of the DP Act.

3. As per the prosecution case, the petitioner is accused of assaulting and torturing the complainant due to the non-fulfillment of the demand of dowry.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is quite innocent and has not committed any offence. It is further submitted that the parties have amicably settled their dispute and, in this regard, a divorce petition under Section 13(B) of the Hindu Marriage Act has been filed before the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.15147 of 2026(2) dt.10-03-2026 2/2 Principal Judge, Family Court, Hajipur, with the consent of both parties. It is also submitted that the petitioner has agreed to pay Rs. 10,50,000/- to the O.P. No. 2 as part of the settlement.

5. Learned APP for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail.

6. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this application for anticipatory bail stands allowed.

7. Accordingly, let the petitioner, above-named, in the event of arrest or surrender within four weeks from today in the Court below, be released on anticipatory bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Court below where the case is pending/successor Court in connection with Complaint Case No. 2033 of 2024 subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 482(2) of the BNSS.

8. It is made clear that in the event of failure of the compromise, the complainant will be at liberty to move before this Court for cancellation of the anticipatory bail granted to the petitioner.
