JUSTICE ASHWANI KUMAR SINGH ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 08-04-2016 By way of the present application preferred under section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the petitioner has sought for quashing of first information report (for short "FIR") of Supaul P.S. Case No.57 of 2015 registered under section 135 of the Electricity Act.

2. I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel appearing for the North Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited.

3. It has been categorically alleged in the FIR that the petitioner was found committing theft of electricity causing loss of Rs.1,70,236/- to the supplier company.

4. The allegations made in the FIR do attract ingredients of section 135 of the Electricity Act.

5. In that view of the matter, I find no merit in the present application. Accordingly, it is dismissed.
