Petitioner, already in custody, seeks bail in connection with Goraul P.S. Case No.126 of 2017, registered under Sections 304(B) and 201/34 of the Indian Penal Code. Allegation in brief is that within a year of the marriage of the deceased with the petitioner, she was killed for further dowry.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the deceased was the second wife of the petitioner and she died due to illness; whereas learned counsel for the State submits that ante-mortem injuries were found on hands and legs of the victim, thereafter she was smothered and death was caused due to asphixia.
