The petitioner is languishing in custody for the offences punishable under Section 376AB of the Indian Penal Code and Section 4/6 of the POCSO Act in connection with Chakia P.S. Case No.273 of 2018.

Considering the nature of allegation against the petitioner of commission of rape against the victim and support of the aforesaid fact by the victim in her statement under Section 164 Cr.P.C. as well as considering the fact that victim is minor, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Hence, the prayer for bail is refused. The trial Court is directed to expedite the trial. (Birendra Kumar, J) Mkr./- U T
