The petitioner seeks bail in Complaint Case No. C1-1500 of 2017, instituted for the offence under Section(s) 498A/34 of the Indian Penal Code.
Earlier petitioner was granted provisional bail by coordinate Bench of this Court vide order dated 26.2.2019 passed in Cr. Misc. 11968 of 2019.
The matter was referred to Patna High Court Mediation Centre, vide order dated 16.5.2019. The report of mediator has been received wherein it is mentioned that
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.11968 of 2019(5) dt.08-07-2019 2/2 Opposite Party No. 2 (Complainant) is not ready to live with the petitioner. Petitioner is ready to make payment of Rs.2,50,000/- as one time settlement, but Opposite Party No. 2 was demanding Rs.6,00,000/-. Hence, the mediation has failed. From the report of Mediator it also appears that Opposite Party No. 2 (Complainant) does not want to live with the petitioner. In view of such, the provisional bail granted to the petitioner by order dated 26.2.2019 passed in Cr. Mis. 11968 of 2019 is hereby confirmed.
