The petitioner, who is in custody since 09.01.2020, seeks bail in connection with Jadopur P.S. Case No. 123 of 2019 dated 20.11.2019 instituted for the offence under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.
316 litres is said to have been recovered from near the river bank and the petitioner and others were found to be moving on boat upstream. The presumption therefore was drawn that the petitioner and others had unloaded the aforesaid consignment of liquor. Considering the aforestated facts, the petitioner is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge-IIcum-Special Judge (Excise), Gopalganj in connection with Jadopur P.S. Case No. 123 of 2019.
