The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in a case registered under sections 304B and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

As per the prosecution case, the accused persons including the petitioner herein are stated to have done the daughter of the informant to death for non-fulfillment of the demand of dowry.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner who happens to be the father-in-law of the deceased has been falsely implicated in the case because of his relationship. The husband of the deceased i.e. the son of the petitioner is in custody. Although the allegations in the FIR are general and omnibus in nature, it is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the informant and his wife have

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.24953 of 2021(3) dt.16-11-2021 2/2 tried to improve upon the allegations in course of investigation. The petitioner is in custody since 15.3.2020 and has no criminal antecedent.

Heard learned APP for the State.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the facts of the case, the husband of the deceased being in custody and the petitioner having remained in custody since 15.3.2021 i.e. for 1 year 8 months, the Court directs the petitioner to be enlarged on bail in connection with Dehri Town P.S. Case no. 721 of 2019 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned S.D.J.M, Dehri, District Rohtas.
