The petitioner claims that he has filed application for renewal of two firearm licence along with late fine for the delay about ten years. However, the Licensing Authority-cum-District Magistrate, Patna has neither rejected nor allowed the application. Though renewal of one firearm licence was accepted and with respect to another firearm but no decision has been communicated to the petitioner with respect to the aforesaid.
Patna High Court CWJC No.18275 of 2016 dt.13-02-2017 Accordingly, this writ petition is being disposed of with a direction to the Licensing Authority-cum-District Magistrate, Patna to take a final decision in the matter in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order, if the same has not been done.
