JUSTICE RAJEEV RANJAN PRASAD ORAL ORDER 19-06-2023 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the Bihar School Examination Board. Petitioner, in the present case, is seeking a direction commanding the respondents to enter his name in the computer database of the Bihar School Examination Board, Patna (Intermediate Council) in the year 1987. It is his further prayer that a mandamus be issued to the respondents for providing second copy of the original certificate and marksheet of Intermediate to the petitioner after entering the name of the petitioner in the computer database of the Bihar School Examination Board, Patna (Intermediate Council). Patna High Court CWJC No.3525 of 2023(2) dt.19-06-2023 2/2 Examination Board, Patna submits that for getting a duplicate marksheet, a candidate has to make application with requisite fee with the Board and only thereafter the Board will take steps for issuance of a duplicate certificate. It is pointed out that in the writ application there is no averment that the petitioner ever applied with requisite fee.
In the aforesaid view of the matter, this writ application is being disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to apply for duplicate certificate giving his correct roll number and roll code etc. with requisite fee whereupon his request shall be considered by the Board within a period of four weeks from the date of making of the application with requisite fee.
